GNOME 3.18 Released

The GNOME Foundation, officially announced release of GNOME 3.18, latest stable release of world's most widely used open source desktop environment. This GNOME release is a result of 6 months of continuous development effort and it includes more than 25000 changes contributed by 772 contributors.



According to release announcement, following are some highlights of this release.
  • Google Drive integration in Files
  • Firmware updates through Software
  • Automatic screen brightness
  • Touchpad gestures
  • Several new applications: Calendar and Characters
  • Significant improvements to Files, Boxes and Polari
  • And, as always, there are many other smaller changes and bug fixes!
